- We have never paid for reviews. Nor would we ever.
- We have never faked reviews. Nor would we ever.
- We never give bad reviews to "rival" authors. We would never. We don't even understand the concept of a rival author.
Our Man in Abiko has on occasion written about his own work on Goodreads like here and once on Amazon here, but only using the review box to give additional blurb info, and he has always said he was the author or editor so should not be trusted. He has never pretended to be anyone else and he has never slagged off another author. He has given negative reviews like here, but he has no axe to grind with the authors and wishes them the best. He just hopes they write better books. Authors at the Abiko Free Press don't give positive reviews hoping for positive reviews back. That kind of you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours gives everyone hives.
We do love real reviews though, even negative ones, because as well as alerting readers to the good stuff, they alert the writers and editors to things they could do better next time.
So please, let's be honest out there. We are.

That was simply the best comment anyone could have made. I heartily recommend the comment to anyone who, not only was thinking of commenting themselves, but who maybe has never thought so much about commenting. ***** is the only rating I can give. Just wish there were more stars in the sky to give to this erudite script. Looking forward to more comments by Mr Crank. Highly recommended.
